OUR MISSION
Turtlebacks is a premium apparel brand for active young boys on and off the course. Founded by a mom of two sporty sons who love playing golf but hate wearing “golf pants,” Turtlebacks’ mission is to craft clothing that embodies comfort, performance, and confidence because we believe that when boys FEEL GOOD, they can PLAY HARD.
Our name was inspired by the infamous “turtleback” greens of Pinehurst, North Carolina, which have a distinct domed shape resembling the shell of a turtle. The innate toughness of a turtle shell, and the resilience of the turtle perfectly represent the durability of our pants, and the qualities that we seek to inspire in our young athletes who wear them.
OUR STORY
Turtlebacks was born after years of trying to find clothes for my young, active sons that actually fit, felt good, and looked sharp, without the daily battle of getting dressed. While the men’s market was full of comfortable, wear-everywhere golf apparel, my boys were stuck with stiff, scratchy, ill-fitting options that never quite worked. So, I decided to create something better. With the help of a NYC-based fashion design team, we spent over a year developing a full line of boys’ apparel, starting with pants, polos, and shorts. Made from high-quality performance fabrics, tailored for real kids, and designed down to the last detail. The result? Clothes they love to wear, from the course to the playground and everywhere in between. I’m so excited to share them with you.
BOYS LOVE
Boys love how our buttery, soft, performance fabric is flexible enough to run, jump, squat, and play all day without any restriction. There are no itchy tags, no annoying buttons or zippers, and no bulky internal adjustable buttons. Our pants pull on and feel like stretchy sweatpants, but look like dress pants. Moms love that our pants are machine washable, durable, fit properly, and look sharp. With soft, stretchy fabric and easy pull-on waistbands, getting dressed is simple, and staying comfortable is even easier. Whether it’s a junior round or just tagging along with Dad, they’ll look the part and move like they always do.
